How scoring works

Distance score

Each guess starts with a score out of 100 based only on the great-circle distance from the real location. A pin 500 miles away earns about 70 points; the curve softens as misses get larger.

Round multipliers

Tracks three through five are worth more, so a strong finish can move the whole board.
